Olugbade Adegoke, elder brother of Timothy Adegoke, the MBA student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), who died under mysterious circumstances in Osun State in November 2021, has said the deceased’s family members are still in need of help from Nigerians.
Speaking with FIJ on Monday, Olugbade said the vacuum created by his brother’s demise was still felt by the entire Adegoke family to date.
“Financially and otherwise, the deceased’s family members are still in need of any help they can get from Nigerians as we speak,” said Olugbade.

“I am talking about the wife and children he left behind. You know, when the incident surrounding my brother’s demise was still fresh, many Nigerians came forward to show solidarity, concern and support. Some also made financial promises and pledges.
“As time went by, only a fraction of this set of people, made good their promise. We are forever grateful to this set of people.
“I won’t, however, fault the people who made promises but did not fulfil them on anything; they must have their own private monetary commitments that they constantly meet also.

Timothy Adegoke, an Abuja-based chartered accountant, travelled to Ile-Ife from his Abuja base on November 5, 2021, to write his Master of Business Administration exams at the OAU Distance Learning Centre.
When friends and family members no longer heard from the student two days after he had confirmed his arrival in Ile-Ife to them, he was declared missing.
Later, Adegoke’s body was found in a shallow grave at a location very close to Hilton Hotel and Resorts, where he had been lodged. He left a wife and three children behind.
Hilton Hotel and Resorts belongs to Rahmon Adedoyin, and investigations conducted by the police later revealed that the business mogul was one of Adegoke’s four murderers.
