Olusegun Ayokunle Olumodimu, an Abuja resident, has paid the outstanding N268,519 balance to Crescencio Ferreira, a Lagos-based fashion outfit, 24 hours after FIJ’s reported his failure to pay the balance for four custom-made outfits.
His brother, Jide Olumodimu, who also owed Ferreira’s brand for a previous order, settled his long-standing debt as well.
The two payments were N400,000.

Muyiwa Ferreira, the owner of the outfit, confirmed the payment to FIJ on Saturday, saying the debtors reached out to him shortly after the publication.
Expressing thanks to FIJ, Ferreira said, “I appreciate FIJ for its help.”
Reciept of Payment Made to Ferreira
FIJ had earlier reported how Olumodimu commissioned four custom outfits from Ferreira’s fashion house in December, paying an initial deposit of N170,000.
When the designer completed the work and delivered the clothes on February 4, Olumodimu failed to settle the remaining N268,519 balance despite several repeated demands.
“I kept reaching out via texts, WhatsApp chats and even phone calls but he kept ignoring me. One of my staffers was also reaching out to him without any positive response,” Ferreira told FIJ.

When all efforts to recover the debt failed, Ferreira reached out to FIJ for an intervention.
Jide had also been owing Ferreira’s fashion brand since 2018 and failed to pay for the clothes. The company’s owner said had to take it as a loss.
Less than 24 hours after FIJ published the story, Olumodimu and Jide both contacted Ferreira to apologise and clear their debts.
